3.Dave Eggers- his books are amazing. what he came from to where he is now is absolutely inspiring.
4. David Rakoff- Hilarious. seems kind of like a papa-bear (i don't know, don't even ask) and would be pretty nice at
dinner. probably would help me clear and wash dishes (because yes, dinner would be at my apartment. with me cooking. because in this fantasy i can cook)
5. Amy Sedaris- i obviously do not look up to many women. but, amy too wonderful to pass up. plus she's from Raleigh.

there are many things i cannot resist. here are my top 5:
this is Valley, playing i think in January? they're some good friends from high school, middle school, and before that. they're all over the state/country right now with school, so shows only happen in the winter and summer. i've gone to almost every show they've put on since probably freshman year of high school, back when they were all in different bands.
be lucky you are not a girl with horrible cramping. i hope everyone's having a better day than me.

the university, and a fucking degree from this place. so my parents don't want me to drop out? but really, i feel no reason to be there. i'm ready to move on, find something to do with my life. whore up to some recording studios, try to become their lackey. just to get myself in the door.
and my parents know how hard it is for me to stay in school without my job recording. essentially, i'm majoring in film because it's the closest degree we have to radio. shit, they're in the same building. and plus, a degree in news & documentary will probably look good to XM or NPR.
but now, my parents are suggesting i go and get a masters in journalism?! fucking ridiculous. i already have wasted too many years in this place. i'm not getting any fucking younger. god damn. i'm only 20, and i feel like i've wasted my entire life. that's pretty sad.
also, just becase i hate this picture soooo much... here is our mascot, Sparty the Spartan, showing how to use the parking deck. apparently, spartans drive convertables?

orifices haha yes. the last thing i copied was orifices. a friend of mine was wondering what the plural of orifices would be. so, you know, i had to try and help and figure it out. even though i'm the worst speller ever.

this is Mac McCaughan, the guitarist/singer from Superchunk. also, co-founder of Merge Records. Laura Ballance would be pretty cool to trade places with (bassist for Superchunk and other founder of Merge), but i had a better picture of Mac.
they both give me hope in north carolina music. even if Superchunk is 15+ years old.

obviously, i did not take this picture. but this is my mixer. or, then again, my old mixer. i'm not the production director next year. but, i love this piece of electronica. even with all its flaws, it makes beautiful music. i miss it already.
